Bondage Accessories That You Must Have

cuff on a lady

Cuffs

A basic staple in all bondage toolboxes.  Cuffs are fun and easy way to restrain your partner either to themselves, another person or an object (such as the bed). They are a quick, safe and effective way to keep your lover where you want them. Some are designed with the subs comfort in mind, so they are padded or come with fluffy covers or are a simple soft rope or stretchy silicone. You are spoiled for choice with the variety of cuffs available as they can be made of various materials and the method of closing them also varies from Velcro, buckles, keys or even lace up and often come with ways to attach them to other restraints. Some come equipped to attach them via the door to create a suspension type set up and some are designed larger for the ankles which you can team up with the hand cuffs to make a hog tie or other multiple restraint scenarios.

Collars

So, you want your lover to pant like a puppy and beg? You might need a collar to help facilitate. A collar is a great way to make your partner succumb to your will. Together with a leash you can lead your partner around, humiliate them or control their position during your sexual encounters. Some Doms may insist their Subs wear their collar in public like part of their clothing as an act of ownership and control.

Collars can be made of various materials, have some bling or studs and usually have a method of connecting to a leash. Most are adjustable and use Velcro, clasps or buckles to close. They can be sold by themselves or together with a leash so be aware of this when purchasing to ensure you buy what you want.

Gags

Ball gags come in several different styles and offer varying materials. It’s important you choose the right gag for you as some are great for beginners, while others are best suited to more advanced players.

A gag is a type of bondage equipment designed to muffle the submissive partner during play. Many couples are intimidated by gags at first, after trying them they often find it adds an exciting edge to Dom & Sub play. Ball gags are by far the most popular, but there are many different types of gags to titillate the tastebuds.

Here are some examples of various type ball gags…

Beginners ball gags usually feature a small ball. They are easily adjusted and made from less intimidating materials. First-time gags are designed for maximum comfort during wear and provide the visual stimulation of gagging without opening the mouth excessively. Your Sub should still find it easy to breathe and make some sound when wearing a beginner gag.

Intermediate gags tend to have a slightly larger ball, are usually made from more durable materials such as faux leather, and often feature a buckle fastening. These gags open the mouth a little wider to heighten the wearer’s experience and look, while the more durable material ensure reliability during prolonged play. Subs wearing an intermediate gag feel more restricted but are still not completely muffled.

An advanced ball gag will provide maximum restraint by opening the mouth as wide as possible. Most advanced ball gags feature a large mouthpiece, are made from hard-wearing materials like leather and metal, and some have a lockable buckle fastening for added stability. They should leave your Sub completely restrained and most likely completely muffled.

There is also a selection of more novel type gags which can be used to incorporate other types of play. Dildo gags are perfect for advanced bondage play. Some are fitted with a backward-facing dildo, designed to sit in the Subs mouth, others feature a forward-facing dildo, allowing the Dom to essentially ride their playmates face.

A gag with an open mouth option is a great choice for those just getting started with gag play. Because they feature a ring rather than a ball, the wearer can breathe easily while still being restrained. Open mouth gags are also perfect for oral play. The rings are wide enough for cheeky blow jobs or a spot of facesitting.

If you’re into pony or puppy play, there is the bit or bone style gag.  This is awesome used in combination with anal tails or masks to fit the roleplay. It is also a non-threatening style which can be used for beginners because the sub can still breathe easily and rather than keeping the mouth wide open, it still creates a visual for the Dom while still somewhat restraining and silencing the Sub.

Just remember to organise your safety gesture before you start as these gags require both users to have some level of BDSM experience. It’s essential you agree upon a hand signal rather than a safe word as speaking will be out of the question.

Reversible Blindfold Fuck me Fuck You

Blindfolds, Masks & Hoods

As a part of sensory play, the humble blindfold is an inexpensive way to ramp up the senses by depriving your Sub of their vision. The skin tingles, the hearing and senses of smell and taste become more acute as the anticipation and excitement builds by not knowing what is coming. Where you go with it is up to you.

You could try a sensual touch incorporating warming massage oil, the use of feathers, light whipping, vibrating massagers, food or ice. The use of food creates different sensations on the skin and different methods of removing it such as licking, nibbling or puckering on the skin. The wartenberg wheel is another great tool to incorporate into sensory play to excite the skin.

Hoods & masks are other great tools and are perfect for a bit of anonymity if you decide to make your own pornography, are attending an orgy or swingers’ event or even as a part of roleplay.

Some hoods are designed for harder dominant play where the Sub may be a puppy or pony for example or to block the senses and enforce oral play.

Restraints

Combining restraints with your blindfold adds another dimension of desire for the Sub. Once your Sub has hindered movement, you can manipulate them to a greater extent. You may wish to harden the limits into more disciplinary play, bringing in other tools of the trade to ensure your Sub takes you seriously.

Restraints cover a broad range of harnesses to get your Sub where you want them.  It can simply be as set of handcuffs through to body restraints, bed tie down kits and shibari rope for total disablement. They can be defined by any accessory that will inhibit movement of the Sub and can include being restrained to self, another person or an object such as a bed, inflatable, doorway or swing for example.

Sinful Bondage Kit-Pink-5560

Bondage Kits

These kits are an economical way of building your BDSM toolbox.  They come in many varied combinations and quality. Some kits also branch into other fields of play such as anal, body wands or vibrators and contain the necessary toys to accompany it. Some have a romantic spin and others are more holistic.

Bondage Toys

Our range of bondage toys are tools that don’t necessarily fall into other categories such as sensory toys, nipple play, electro stim, waterproof bedding, games and clitoral or cock & ball bondage. They are a great addition to your toybox for a bit of variety when the mood takes you.

Whips

What a wonderful world of whips there are! Something to suit any taste and desire. Enjoy this activity with much caution, consideration for your safety and your partner’s, preparation and education. Ensure you have your safe word organised ready for play.

Floggers are designed to strike a specific area repeatedly and accurately, to allow a build-up of endorphins, then move to another spot to strike a few times, and so on. For the “newbies,” start with a lighter, gentler flogger before working your way up to bigger floggers once you gain more experience. Responsible, accurate, and safe flogging requires practice, research, talking with your partner to ensure they are comfortable with flogging. Flogging is meant to be erotic and arousing but can be dangerous when not performed with due care.

Crops are great for more disciplinary play as a short sharp punishment for disobedience or non-compliance and can be more targeted to a specific area.  For example, you may not want your Sub to touch something so you can tap the hand to get them to refrain. For general play, use the fleshier parts of the body. The butt and thighs are the best spots. Places like the joints, spine or around the kidneys can potentially be dangerous, so it’s best to avoid this completely. You can experiment on yourself to work out which parts are more sensitive.

Paddles are a great spanking option to save your hand and create a different sensation. Paddles vary in size and materials to create differing effects. Some are loud and soft, and others are smaller or thinner but offer more sting. They are generally used more for the buttocks and are an awesome tool to add to your roleplay games. Imagine putting that naughty schoolgirl over your knee for a good punishment from her headmaster.

Other types of whips are generally cast from the abovementioned except for canes or batons and bull whips which should only be used by experienced Doms as they can cause serious injury if used incorrectly.

Position Aids, Furniture & Machines

Position aids are used to keep your Sub in the position you want them. They vary in the type of mobility your Sub will still have as some can completely immobilize and others just restrain your partner in a position, for example, arms over head or some have no level of restraint, just a prop to get the body where you want it. Position aids are also useful for those who have trouble physically maintaining an ideal position.  Examples of this are a wedge to raise the hips giving better penetration and access to the g-spot/p-spot and a sex stool to alleviate thigh muscle burning during sex on top.

Other bondage aids are furniture and sex machines. For advanced BDSM players, furniture can be a very expensive addition to the repertoire and require a more professional set-up per se. We offer more primitive type set-ups but a handy and more inexpensive introduction into the scene. Inflatable furniture often has tie down points so you can have a full bed set up without having to need a spare bedroom to store it. Sex machines can be used in BDSM for orgasm denial and edging to bring your partner to their knees, then when you have had your fun torturing your victim, you can finish the job.

Fetishwear

Well one must look the part either being the Dominant or making your Sub conform to your wishes. Whether that is a roleplay type scenario or a more bondage type of play. Taking the time to set the scene can make the difference in making your play authentic and moody.

Aftercare

Aftercare is an important part of any BDSM play. Taking the time to take care of your partner, addressing any emotional and physical pains or marks they received during the process. Good aftercare includes a soft and caring rubdown/massaging of the arms, legs, butt, etc. Even applying lotion or necessary ointment to any marks and scars to help the healing process begin shows responsible play and appreciation to your submissive partner.
